Our dog died a couple of weeks ago. I spent the days afterwards trying to understand how best I would explain that loss to a young child. Death is difficult to comprehend as an adult. To a child it must be harder still if adults themselves are struggling. I looked in bookshops for inspiration, hoping that I could signpost others to good resources on loss. I found none. However, today I read this blog, and I am interested to know more... http://www.brainpickings.org/2015/05/14/oliver-jeffers-the-heart-and-the-bottle/ For anyone who has read it, would you too recommend? Or is there something else you would suggest?
